The 4 year cycles are also, as @npub1k7vkcxp7q… has pointed out, tied to the 3-5 year cycle of private debt refinancing that just so happens to have reset in 2008, and to an extent, again in 2020. Not just the halving and its impact on the miners. Bitcoin isn't JUST a play on global liquidity, but the fiat price of anything is impacted by it. Throw that into the halving cycle and you get some real synergy. That said, right NOW, interest rates are being a little stubborn, especially with CPI coming in hot. So the chopsolidation isn't too shocking. Watching that dynamic could yield some interesting insights.
