I use cardboard under #mulch where I want to smother unwanted plants. dry cardboard under mulch acts like a roof and sheds water. with wet cardboard, best to get it good and soaked and keep moist. better yet, shred it before soaking.

I’ve heard priests say that encountering the spirits of loved ones after their recent deaths is a very common occurrence. They say it was common all through history and even continues today but people don’t really talk about it anymore. I know people personally who I totally trust who describe encounters, but I have not sensed it myself. So yeah, you’re just having a normal human experience as far as I know.

Drives me nuts every time I hear podcasters talking about how they can’t say things because of YouTube. I know y’all are trying to reach NPCs on YouTube, but is it possible to put out the podcast first and then make a censored version that goes on YouTube later? Sorry Michael and Greer, but I'm with Tony on this "transhumanist" topic. If you wear glasses, have an artificial knee, or get a heart valve repaired, you are already not purely human. I understand your religion may not accept life extension, but along with Hal Finney, I'm betting on it. In addition, every human is playing host to at least 40 trillion non-human microorganisms, more than human cells. If you quickly removed all of them, you would die. These matters complicate your disavowal of the science you reported. However, I enjoyed meeting you in Vegas and I will continue to be a very faithful listener to your podcast, which I enjoy immensely.

we're going through some issues with Lowes. we're doing a house remodel from studs out and the local Lowes doesn't have access to items other stores have online. I can see items are available but just not at my local store and no delivery to our zip code. and getting things shipped from store to store has been interesting too. we did try to shop the little mom & pops, but they're disappearing. oh, and I haven't voted in a while, but will go to the polls and write in "Brian... I encourage everyone to start a farm if possible, take a look at the IRS Schedule F and write off as much as you can. sure, you have to report some gross income, but you can show a loss! year after year, you can show a loss. you only have to prove intent to generate a profit. you can be "bad" at business, and they will let you report a loss. of course, building a profit center is the point, but don't let the irs scare you. you're small potatoes to them. they're going after bigger money bags.
