US system isn’t free market in the least, not even 10%. Hospitals control whether new ones are allowed. Patents and IP are fundamentally anti-free market. That’s just a couple of many examples. It’s corporatist, but not free market. Elective surgery is more free market and there you see quality up and price down over time.
