Dave is an idiot. The US Constitution absolutely does not and never has protected the right to own gold. It says states may only pay their debts in gold and silver. 6102 in no way changed that

While he’s not ENTIRELY wrong… as in I wouldn’t be able to say for certain that the state won’t do a 180 and turn against bitcoin and outlaw it (I agree that if our governments collectively outlaw bitcoin, anyone who owns in will be jailed for 10 years, then we could be in trouble), I think he failed to listen to Natalie’s point of “we are not seeing it”. Oh boy. You really tried Natalie but he really doesn’t understand bitcoin. And bitcoin is not intuitive. You really have to understand the protocol before you can be confident. He is however right about us not understanding how bad things can get. We are a bit complacent about how violent the state can become (Israel as an example).
