Have you guys tried pi coding agent? I’m running it with a llama.cpp with unsloth qwen3.8_q4_k_xl with mtp and no vision mmproj for extra speed. Feels almost frontier like. I ditched Hermes and opencode as they felt too bloated for local models.

You said not to boost passwords but here is my luggage combo. I also swapped from OC to Hermes. Way better. I’m running dual 3090 with llama.cpp on Nixos (my first nix box) after a Ubuntu update broke nvidia drivers. Qwen3.6:27b Q8 with q-8 cache is VERY good. I am fully local setup with searxng as my primary search and giving this a go for memory https://github.com/AxDSan/mnemosyne I am setting mine up for my wife’s work. She does endless paperwork that is data entry. Hermes is crushing those paperwork tasks and allowing her to work at a higher more rewarding level. Can’t wait to hear more about how you use it! Keep up the good work guys!

Had a couple m5 atoms around from when I was testing the year of voice with home assistant. Turned them into Bluetooth relays for home assistant. https://esphome.io/projects/index.html Amazing haha. Now my blind openers stay local.

What’s better for privacy? Recursive dns like unbound in opnsense or dns over tls through cloudflare? Whats more performant?
