I used to sometimes use distro's like Zorin OS witch can be based on an LTS release. And be running an older kernel at the time. Like you guys I like to have the latest or near latest at the time. I went for the Liquorix Kernel or the XanMod Kernel. Sometimes just a Curl command away. XanMod is more aimed at gamers but worked ok for me. Sometimes more performance ment less battery time. Security minded people will need to trust kernal vender due to the nature of what is being installed. I hope everyone has a merry Christmas and best of luck for 2025 Regards ace

Cheap boost because idc if it goes on the show buuut I have a Nitecore MH10 V2. It has a strobe function but you jave to double click the power button to activate it. Simple 1 click to turn on, 1 click off, it has 4 brightness levels and remembers the one you used last. I got this one because I walk at night and even with high vis, I’m invisible to drivers in my town. Active illumination or death. The strobe came in handy once because someone came up to me with a bat and I just 2xClicked the power button and that bought me enough time to run away.
