I would use a third implementation of Bitcoin that is ossified and updated purely for security patches. Is it so hard to port security patches to every previous release so that every release is viable?

Bitcoin is financial. Being able to put memes and pictures on chain isn’t important! The so called libertarians claiming this is a centralized takeover are ridiculous
