Nathan Abbott

Nathan Abbott is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Southend, Essex, known for his heartfelt blend of indie, blues and folk-tinged acoustic songwriting. He has been steadily building his catalogue with original music released independently, including tracks and projects such as Into the Light and the ONE EP — all written and recorded by Abbott himself. His songs, which explore themes of introspection, resilience and connection, include titles like “Jenny,” “Looking Glass,” “Fifty to One,” “The Big I Am” and “Outside Looking In.” Many of these were featured across his early 2025 releases and recordings made available into the V4V ecosystem. A dedicated live performer, Abbott has played shows around Essex over the years, from intimate acoustic sets to pub and local festival stages, showcasing his compelling vocals and guitar work. In May 2025, he appeared at Into the Valueverse — the UK’s first Bitcoin-powered live music event — alongside Longy and Joe Martin, where fans could support artists directly using Bitcoin’s value-for-value (V4V) model. Abbott was introduced to the V4V approach through the New Music Nudge Unit, helping him grow his independent audience and embrace new ways of sharing his music.
