I’m fairly new to Bitcoin as a wealth-building tool, I played around with it in college when it was just a fun idea, and boy do I wish I had that hard drive that’s buried in a landfill somewhere. 😅 What sold it for my wife and I was the liquidity of it. We were in a tough financial spot for a couple of months and needed access to our assets quickly. With our investment account we put in a request for withdrawal and the funds were still not available to us after 7 days, so we had to sell some of our stash. Our Bitcoin provided us with access to fiat funds within 20 minutes. That speed and ease of liquidity during a critical time was a game-changer for us, and my wife got more excited for investing in BTC than ever. We ended up liquidating our investment account and swapping it for Self-Custodied BTC.
