Coincidentally, I also went down the meme stock rabbit hole recently, I watched the James Jani doc, I watched a.bunch of Marantz and Richard Newton on YT, etc.
I was shocked to find that I came away thinking Marantz actually has a good point, I wouldn't dismiss him so easily. AMC, BBBY and GME are not the same and I think Ryan Cohen is genuinely trying to turn around GME, he got out of BBBY when he saw it was a lost cause. The story of private equity bankruptcies is truly fascinating.
This whole GME saga transformed into a rich vs poor battle which is still ongoing. Will the common man ever see justice? Who knows. Do hedge funds break the rules and get away with it ? No doubt they do.

From my singular perspective and experience I have really enjoyed going back and forth on fountain and primal. Also, Considering that many V4V musicians are using it, Open Mike is into it for live events, I think it makes sense for the apps to go where the artists are.

12k The concern with bitcoin backed loans is that, should the value of your collateral drop beyond a certain point (which bitcoin is famously known to do), the bank may liquidate the collateral at a price which is much, much lower than had you just sold it at the cycle top and paid the capital gains tax.

10k I happen to know quite a bit about protecting the grid from solar flares and I was closely monitoring the event in May. I hate to be that guy but your guest is missed a lot things concerning the electrical grid. After the Quebec blackout in 1989 grid operators have greatly improved their ability monitor and mitigate geomagnetic disturbances. Once a flare is detected, grid operators have like 6-10 hours to prepare for the plasma to hit us so they have time to disconnect / protect vulnetable equipment. If a really, really bad one hits us, power restoration will be on the order of days, not months or years, sorry!

Saif's point isn't that lending in itself is wrong. His point was, lending something YOU DONT OWN is wrong.
This is what banks currently do. They lend out fiat that doesn't exist previously, when fiat gets printed it gains values by stealing a small potion of value from all existing fiat, aka inflation, aka theft. Theft is wrong.

2.2k Dave, the magic of midjourney is not that it spits out something pretty decent the first time, there’s a new type of creative process you need to experiment with. It’s not just about variants, use the “blend” feature and “describe”. Look at how it describes your personal images and craft your prompts based on that. Give it specific instruction on how the Logo is shaped. If you used “a logo for” then I see why you feel the way you do but IMO there is something special about midjourney. I used it for my short film and a dropshipping store and was very pleased with what I got. Experiment more!

I spoke with one of the Co-Creators, Emily Hughes, of a Bitcoin Board Game called “BLOCKHUNTERS” it’s like monopoly but uses the structure of how Bitcoin is mined and transacted into a 30 minute game. Whoever has the most bitcoins wins. There’s even a character you can play as who uses V4V to earn money for their art. Emily and I talk about the game, her mental health/psychedelic journey, God and parallels between Bitcoin and spirituality.
