Sorry Michael and Greer, but I'm with Tony on this "transhumanist" topic. If you wear glasses, have an artificial knee, or get a heart valve repaired, you are already not purely human. I understand your religion may not accept life extension, but along with Hal Finney, I'm betting on it. In addition, every human is playing host to at least 40 trillion non-human microorganisms, more than human cells. If you quickly removed all of them, you would die. These matters complicate your disavowal of the science you reported. However, I enjoyed meeting you in Vegas and I will continue to be a very faithful listener to your podcast, which I enjoy immensely.

Idk Gromen comes off as an arrogant prick broken clock who timed the local top in 2025. Notice he’s quiet on the quantum threat all of the sudden because he was talking his book (short bitcoin). On AI, I think it’s equally likely intelligence boom and race to the bottom in training and inference cost will drive more demand (Jevons paradox). On the fear mongering on Deepseek class models - US companies can copy paste any innovation that happens in China just as well. Anyone who’s tried to automate real business processes with AI knows there is plenty of challenges for humans to solve. We will just be able to do more for cheaper which will drive more demand. Sovereign debt and unfunded liabilities is definitely an issue. My base case is multipolar world with unprecedented productivity but also high inflation. HODL.
