loving the #permaculture lessons. obtaining a yield and stacking functions go hand in hand. I'm using plants that the #deer, #rabbits, #turkey and/or i can eat, to control erosion on a #pond wall. flowering #plants may not produce food, but they look nice, feed the #pollinators and play their part in the #diversity. permanerd mentioned creating edges on ponds... take a look at Chinampas, interesting stuff. I had 2 bitaxes from 2 different "manufacturers." fried them both. even tho I didn't overclock. I haven't replaced them. thinking #ln node is next for me. collating data. ;) axeOS is open source and can be downloaded so diy'ers can build the hardware and configure.

Regarding Metaplanet buying back stock: I mean, corporations are gonna corporation. It is a valid technique, mired by the long list of other super-organisms that have already looked out for their own self-interest, over the community. I use cardboard under #mulch where I want to smother unwanted plants. dry cardboard under mulch acts like a roof and sheds water. with wet cardboard, best to get it good and soaked and keep moist. better yet, shred it before soaking.

LEGAL LOBSTER PERSON SERIES 3/? We talked about what a legal person is, how do we know they have personhood? Well, they have property rights. We normally don’t think about a corporation having property rights, but what else is happening when the agent of a corporation calls the police to report the breaking and entering of one of its buildings? The police are there to report and potentially stop a crime, that of the impedance on the property rights of the corporation. That isn’t just law & order, but the evidence of personhood. Note: Municipalities love bringing in more corporations vs more people in dwellings.. It is more money in taxes with less police enforcement. A corporation cannot beat its spouse and children, but it can write a check for property taxes.

LEGAL LOBSTER PERSON SERIES 2/? Alright, but what is a legal person? We can all explain what a natural person is (I hope). Anything in the Homo genus is considered a human (where the name comes from) and considered a person. Well, a legal person would be any type of corporation. Alright, I’m suspicious. We’ll get into how we know they have personhood, tomorrow.

I learned that there were two types of people, natural and legal. There were meat sacks (shout out IG-88!) and there were pieces of paper. I did not give that much thought until late 2022 or early 2023.

we're going through some issues with Lowes. we're doing a house remodel from studs out and the local Lowes doesn't have access to items other stores have online. I can see items are available but just not at my local store and no delivery to our zip code. and getting things shipped from store to store has been interesting too. we did try to shop the little mom & pops, but they're disappearing. oh, and I haven't voted in a while, but will go to the polls and write in "Brian... I encourage everyone to start a farm if possible, take a look at the IRS Schedule F and write off as much as you can. sure, you have to report some gross income, but you can show a loss! year after year, you can show a loss. you only have to prove intent to generate a profit. you can be "bad" at business, and they will let you report a loss. of course, building a profit center is the point, but don't let the irs scare you. you're small potatoes to them. they're going after bigger money bags.

the one thing I'd like to see more of regarding the 2nd #permaculture principle is examining one's own #waste stream to slow export of outputs and reduce inputs. not just "recycle", "reuse" but concentrate on "reduce" of inputs and outputs. management of our own waste stream is on each of us. take care of your own shit & it'll take care of you. *** you don't have to read my #hastags *** #smij #zapd #grownostr

what a great episode. I've been studying #permaculture since jack spirko introduced me to it 15 yrs ago. observation is a big part of permaculture. look at what grows near you, if there's an equivalent you like, grow that. diversity is key. Also, spirko introduced me to dr. ken berry and keto/carnivore/proper human diet. I am one of the "80+ pounds success stories." yes, thats right! I lost 80 lbs eating beef, butter, bacon & eggs. blood work improved. it is the way.

most bitcoin shows are boring. this show is fun because of the variety. some bitcoin. some marketing. some day in the life. some nostr. some permaculture. so far good stuff. knots vs. core was interesting to watch on nostr. the hatred over this was palpable.
