Oh boy. You really tried Natalie but he really doesn’t understand bitcoin. And bitcoin is not intuitive. You really have to understand the protocol before you can be confident. He is however right about us not understanding how bad things can get. We are a bit complacent about how violent the state can become (Israel as an example).

Dr Jacks and Breedlove keep talking about the absolute importance of the protection of “private property” but completely ignore the literal theft of people’s homes in Palestine. Every home in Israel was stolen from a Palestinian family 🤷‍♂️. You can’t pretend to defend private property while ignoring the evil that is happening in Palestine. It comes off false.

Dr Jack: AI is the most dangerous thing in humanity because it has the ability to whitewash history Breedlove: but Bitcoin is immutable. The history of the 21million cannot be changed. This struck me hard. Is it possible to code books humanity will need to rebuilt civilisation or simply can we code books or ideas which we think are important into the blockchain. Is it feasible? Will it mess up Bitcoin? Is it expensive? Great listen.

very interesting and some comments on the usd that I haven’t heard before (and make lots of sense). He lost me at the end when talking about btc: seems like a huge pessimist that believe government will always win_ his comments about choosing time frame doesn’t not make any sense (then why mention a time frame yourself if you then say that anybody can choose its own?!)_ kept saying “hasn’t proofed itself yet (good god man give it time, it’s 16yo (which I would shorten to 10yo because who the hell knew it existed before?)_ lastly his comment about Ammous shows he completely missed the point (they will get it because it’s inevitable, not because he’s a dictator and will force it 😂)

A lot of condescension in his voice. He doesn't seem to be taking on the argument from the other side sincerely.

After hours of digging into this, I think the crux is (and please ppl join in): 1)opposition is worried of statements like “btc is whatever ppl want it to be, so if tomorrow the block space will be full of jpeg and monetary transaction are pushed out, then let it be that, a database for storing jpeg”. This is what I hear at least 2)what btc is is decided by the people, why are ppl that don’t agree with this change and don’t want to store JPEG on the their node potrayed as censorship, and not as expressing their vote for what they want btc to be? 3)also very worrying that core potrayed opposition as irrational and minimal. There are too many ppl, too many, opposing this, so portraying them as non-existent and irrational is not reassuring I don’t know where I stand anymore, but I’m worried the way the debate itself is being handled

Great show but I think both of you were ignoring the elephant in the room. Yes UK went to war on a lie in Iraq and 1m people are dead. This is unforgivable. Now the UK is complicit in a genocide and no one was talking about it. Talking to friends and family. This is the reason a lot of them just didn’t vote. There was no point cos both sides support genocide, support censorship and support sending bombs to foreign tyrants. I don’t think I’m the only one who feels this way.

Ok someone needs to tell me if this is planned theft or If the govt is really trying to minimise the risk of contamination of the big banks in event of extreme financial collapse. From discussing withDeepSeek it seems a lot of this came out of the collapse of bear sterns where toxic assets could not be separated from bank assets. Really need your ‘Guys Take’. This is really an important one.

Your point about bear markets sorting the wheat from the chaff is spot on. It links to Talib’s “antifragile”. At first I thought this was how bitcoin becomes antifragile but then I realised Bitcoin is just a protocol and it carries on regardless. What bear markets are really doing is making bitcoiners stronger. Making the bitcoiners who survive the bear market antifragile. Anyway. Loved the show.
