Show Notes

Lawrence Lepard is an investment manager and author of The Big Print. In this episode, he explains why the Federal Reserve has already pivoted back to money printing and why inflation is now structurally embedded in the system. We discuss the growing inevitability of yield curve control, what gold and silver are signaling and why Bitcoin is the most asymmetric response to policy failure and monetary decay. There is something so powerful about “control of your response” For so long I blamed so many, and so much, for my own problems Once you go “fuck it, that’s on me to get over” things actually shift I own my emotions I recognise them But I know they’re ultimately my responsibility Which once you start working on, goes toe-to-toe with the fact that you are not responsible for the emotions of others Mindset is an investable asset Allocate accordingly 🙏🏻

Unbelievably important topic to study as an investor. What if your entire wealth stack has a high counter-party risk you don’t even know about? The beauty of Bitcoin in self-custody is you can be so confident that you actually own what you own Indeed, I argue that I see counter-party risk everywhere when I look at 99% of investments

Hello, fanboying here a bit, also think you were the first podcast we to read one of my comments into the consciousness of…anyone. :) as to your 100th episode question. Have you ever thought of an audience shift? I listened to Lyn Alden on Peter Mackormack’s show this week and her message was beautifully adjusted to his new audience. If you wanted to get your message out to another group, like Peter has, who would be your target audience?

Great episode! Up here in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada we have an active farmers market culture with a strong cash is king culture. I’m wondering if anyone listening here is from my area and would like to help to orange pill these folks? Also the idea of insisting on denominating in Sats; I lived in Mexico for two months once and by the end of that short time I had started to think in Pesos. It doesn’t take long. Cheers

As an educator AI is a tool to first draft output like report card comments, email responses, lessons plans, and unit planning. Essentially it has increased my productivity, reducing my hours, allowing me to spend more time on human interactions with my students and colleagues. Same result as when I started using online testing tools and translation software (second language teacher) as they became more effective over the last 2 decades.

As a teacher AI is a tool to draft my lesson plans, report card comments, and emails. I have ideas around using it for assessment that I have not tested yet. So my hours of work have been reduced, the quality of my Productions has increased, and my pay has remained unchanged.

What a way to spend an hour on a plane! @npub1hghnjjpnv… @npub1z4y76jl8r… First off, my wife and I always ask for “pat downs” with a medical exemption instead of going through the radiation scanners What a ride it is going through airport security, even for a domestic flight, fully frisked for “my safety”, paperwork at every step, talk about a conditioning process for the controlled Then there I am, in a small tube, going god knows how fast, looking out the window with my daughter next to me, thinkin about the past life work we had last year, and the story I was told about having known her soul before How lucky I was to get to know her again (long story, but I was a pastor in another life, and travelled to Australia once before, lost my wife and kids, and befriended a young girl who was bulk used by her own family. That same girl is now my eldest daughter) So there I am, zooming along, deep in thought, as all around me Netflix drivel is being devoured, and then boom… Red just laying it down - re-incarnation - Mu - archaeology - propaganda - plate tectonics - ufo’s - density - light Which ultimately got me thinking about control. The cypherpunks were so on point. The digital world is the perfect playground for control. Imagine trying to censor every bible ever written…? Now all you need to do is capture a handful of tech guys, and the narrative is yours. The romans in their quest for centralisation would have paid handsomely for such abilities A quick google search and it references “mythical” origins Scent expunged Gosh what a journey We’ve got to keep asking questions, talking, learning, teaching, and exploring. F*ck these scenarios where the truth is purposely hidden GM

Cracking conversation with @npub160t5zfxal… Its so interesting how men, who previously thought they were fighting for freedom, are re-training their capabilities from military days, onto this nascent form of digital sound money, aka Bitcoin

One thing we’re doing in our renovation is creating EMF bunkers, so at least overnight you don’t get pumelled by the cell towers, WiFi, or lights. Paint, mattress, mat, curtains. So at least 8 hours a day you’re able to get some healthy sleep

Loving this. “You can’t eat sats” critical. Akin to “you can’t live in a Bitcoin” Makes me really think about some of the similar projects I’ve seen in Australia (and wonder where they got to) As a urban based investor, it’s also cool to consider how I could hemp with financing, so long as I team up with someone I can trust out in the field

2 points: Humans fail not gold -Peter Schiff (Exactly-therefore a trustless system takes humans out of the equation for the win and its Bitcoin) And « If I owned all the bitcoin it would be worth nothing; if I owned all the gold I’d be rich » again Peter…would you? If one person owned all the gold I don’t know that I’d want any, anymore, am I missing something here?

This reminds me of the first book I read on blockchains « The Truth Machine ». Always building your reputation, still as anonymous as you choose, and your reputation still has value. Way down the line, but could you imagine a « sorry » button? And a « forgiven » button? Seems people either say nothing for fear of becoming a meme, or hide behind burner accounts, and have no guard rails. Wouldn’t it be nice to feel you could fuck up and make amends?

A number of questions…how is Elon less of a ruler, by definition, not trying to be argumentative, and do we not delay the process of embracing the power of decentralization when we speak about the « rulers » we don’t hate like they are somehow better than the ones we do? If Elon wants my support tokenize and dentralize X and buy some of the coins.

This was one of my two favourites podcasts recently. For the same reason. Both guests, Simon Dixon here and Lyn Alden on Peter McCormack’s show, were outside of their usual comfort zone, and did great jobs framing things for the audience. It got me thinking how we need to meet people where they are. Cheers

Recently reread the Celestine Prophecy, the references to Iran, to money debasement, to the power of truth. It’s a lot of connections to our time for a 40 ish year old book.

Thank you Larry. Listened to Walker read it on audible. Solidified my understanding, reinforced things I sort of understood from Lyn’s and Saif’s books. Enjoy Florida we’re getting hammered with a snowstorm in Ontario today.
