Unchained Capital has a Bitcoin IRA that uses a multisig setup that’s compatible with the Trezor One… it’s a nice option for rolling over a 401k from a previous employer… just sayin’

🤔💭I wonder if Wes could update y’all’s boost tooling to resolve Nostr addresses as I tend to boost this show from Fountain simply because it also posts to Nostr. I wonder if the the tooling could also use info Fountain includes in boosts to make that easier. That would help with truncated boosts from here too since Nostr notes can be way longer than boosts natively support.

From what I’ve learned thus far, it feels to me like there are other things at play that generally line up on 4 year intervals rather than #bitcoin itself having a 4 year cycle. Primarily, I think what you’ve laid out previously about the liquidity market being the driver is key.

Re: Would I spend my sats at a store with Square that’s offering the option of paying in BTC? Absolutely, but I’d do it via the cash side of the Strike app where I pay the invoice straight from my checking account. I’d do it every time simply to help normalize paying that way.

Regarding keeping fake boosts… I see zaprite has an api and can send webhooks… what if you fire a webhook on payment that triggers boostcli or similar for the same amount. That would get the funds from zaprite into the splits and the regular boosting ecosystem. This is assuming that @npub1getal6ykt… Hub doesn’t have an api you could use to send the boost instead. Also, I bet the code that allows for boosting from podcastindex.org could be reused as the boost sender after the webhook is received… Lastly, I bet you could poll the wallet that’s receiving from zaprite and use that to track what payments have been forwarded as boosts…

#Kvaesitso launcher is really nice! As an iOS user who dabbles with #LineageOS, it feels way more natural and much less annoying.

I am really interested in bcachefs, but I think it’s perfectly acceptable for the maintainers to kick it if the maintainer is a jerk. I’ve worked with really smart jerks and it just isn’t worth it. I want someone to integrate #Bitchat bridging into the #Meshtastic firmware so you can optionally have people on both chattting away, say at a camp out or conference. Each participating Meshtastic radio would be able to support nearby people in my theoretical world.

Wes: how do you deal with the fact that #ESPHome in #nix is always way behind? I have tried going that route for building updates but it lags behind HAOS and the associated add in too much. So far for me, I’ve resorted to using a virtual environment on macOS to do builds so that the versions match and builds are fast.

I’d be down with having episodes that are deep dives on single topics as paid bonus content… for example, a cashu deep dive.
