Hoping you guys might find our proposal of interest and maybe something you could share with our fellow listeners. https://blog.bitcryptic.com/blog/mdf-markdown-first Inspired by your recent discussion around agentic impact on web services.

In the spirit of listener participation, I’ve decided to take a drink with you at each mention of nix. It only seems fair as a show of support. Also a +1 for Fountain with Nostr and +1 for listening at 1.5x ! Cheers guys !

Thanks for the pointer to Coder Radio, I’ve added that one to my fountain stream and will boost there with details about my referral code exchange. Love what you guys are doing and love the V4V model!

To answer Chris’s question on our MDF proposal — same URL, agent sends Accept: text/markdown, gets clean markdown back. No scraping, no HTML parsing. Access policy is expressed through price — free content serves immediately, premium content triggers a Lightning invoice via L402. One sat to a hundred dollars, same mechanism. Reference server is a self-hostable Docker image. Price also gives content owners a natural lever for agent load — charge a sat instead of getting hammered for free. And serving clean markdown instead of HTML soup slashes the token count dramatically, which matters whether you’re Anthropic or running Ollama on your homelab.

I happened to see this episode come up in Fountain as ‘live’ so I started listening. I really tried guys but I just couldn’t do it. After listening to you all at 1.5x for the last few months, the live ‘real time’ experience sounded like you were all heavily sedated and not your usual selves 😂 So today I’ll listen and enjoy the 1.5x caffeine edition I’m used to. Keep up the great work 🙏🏼

I feel like it’s time to add a sound bite for ‘binary boosts’ 🤔

Hi guys, just catching up on shows I’ve missed while I’ve been busy. Got me wondering- how do you go with accounting for your ‘after the event’ earnings from streaming and boosts? I’m always interested to hear your summaries of how much you’re generating as I love the V4V model. Presumably what you mention each show is what you see live but do you keep track of what comes in later and add that to the subsequent live totals or is it just too hard to deal with?

I’m loving the JB collection of shows, great work guys! Your comments around small language models and domain expertise got me thinking. I’ve been mulling over an idea recently about a way to capture all the things I’ve learned over the years. Perhaps a personal LM seeded with experiences and linked to sat streaming to monetise ?🤔 Essentially take the traditional ‘learn skills and get paid to use them’ model and do it in the V4V way without the middleman…

Post code (ok ‘zip code’) boosts are smaller down here 😆’m really looking forward to the meet up near me 🇦🇺 Maybe more cost effective for me to come to one of your next west coast US or Canada ones 🤔

Keep up the great work, I always get something from each TBP episode. Just wanted to top up a little above my streaming sats default.

So, my first computer was a Z80 processor based kit that I hand soldered. It had 2KB of RAM, 6 x 7 segment LED displays and a hex input keypad for programming. Its usability was err ‘limited’ - but the educational aspect was amazing.

+1 for longer episodes +1 for salty sometimes +1 for us being in ‘team disruption’ The human nature element is always the same for the ones being disrupted- they get scared of losing their nice stable thing (in this case the whole fiat money system) and they lash out and tell lies. And of course the loudest ones are those getting the biggest benefit from the status quo. That’s how we disrupters know we’re on the right track. Let’s go!

On the challenge of typo squatting and software repo’s - it feels like this is something we could solve or at least improve with key pairs or passkeys or something? First time you use a repo, get prompted to establish a co-signing relationship. Each time you come back a handshake takes place. If everything matches you silently get the code you’re requesting. No match triggers an error flow with warnings and no download etc 🤔

Just a quick boost to make up for beta versions of Fountain not streaming sats lately.

My vote is to keep including the FUD busting. Equally, call out organizations in the Bitcoin ecosystem that are doing the wrong thing. They don’t help the cause and in some cases they just need guidance rather than them deliberately doing wrong.
