This seems to have slipped by you with talk of using Core v30 and just changing the config. Tl;Dr datacarriersize=83 on v29.2! = datacarriersize=83 on v30. Honestly my focus has moved to libbitcoin, as v4 is coming out soon, now with RPC support for things like electrum servers and Sparrow, unlike prior versions. Rather than focusing on filters and the utxo set, it has no utxo set as such, nor a mempool in the same sense, though it does still function as a full archival node. Worth checking out. As Fred Rogers said, “look for the helpers.” There were so many people that wanted to get the word out and help folks save their hard earned bitcoin. I feel terrible for those that lost Bitcoin in this attack. Coinkite’s negligence will only make us more resilient. I understand why some people may keep part of their stack on an exchange, or with an ETF, or have self custody spread over multi vendors or multi sig. Seeing hard working people coming together to help others, though, gives me hope.

I work in a law office. AI is used for research and drafting documents. It hasn’t eliminated any jobs, but it has made us more productive. If anything, we’re actually looking to hire. The majority of money will not leave banks for 3% yield on stable coins. Wouldn’t they be giving up FDIC insurance? I don’t think 3% is worth that risk. Thanks for the value.

It’s not one or the other. Bitcoin halving or the 4 year cycle will impact supply and therefore will impact price. Liquidity is the dominant driver of price right now in my opinion. If people or businesses don’t have cash to invest, then prices will remain low. Thanks for the value.

Re:other nodes and making news, you're clearly not watching Eric Voskuil on Twitter. Libbitcoin 4 just did IBD in 14 minutes on a consumer connection (with assumevalid height of 950k) and 55 min for full validation. Older than Knots, and older than Core being called, well, Core. They slept for a good few years but are waking up with a vengeance.
